Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

The seat is a forward deployed engineer with a research bend, embedded inside one very technical enterprise customer.

Tasks

• Turn an agent's live logs into training data with no human labeling step
• Build cheap, customer-specific scoring that runs on real traffic and catches a broken workflow early
• Trace a model's behavior back to the data that caused it
• Own the relationship directly with the customer's researchers and engineers

Requirements

• You've shipped AI or ML into a large customer and can put a number on it (sites live, cases a month, a go-live)
• You wrote the code yourself: APIs, ETL or model work inside the customer's stack
• You have a full-time engineering job at a company a founder would recognise, and systems depth underneath (OS, infrastructure, platform)
• You're excited by founding-level equity and joining something small, especially if you've considered starting your own thing
• You can name what you want to work on for the next two years
• US work authorization required. No sponsorship at the moment.

Schedule

• 3–4 days a week in the office
• Six-day work weeks.

Pay

• $150K–$250K base
