Full-Time Male Van Driver

PRIMARY PURPOSE CENTER — WE’RE HIRING! FULL-TIME MALE VAN DRIVER

HOURS
Monday – Friday
8am – 4pm

QUALIFICATIONS
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum one (1) year of continuous, verifiable sobriety required.
• Must have and maintain an active relationship with a sponsor.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug screens throughout employment.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to safely operate passenger vans and organizational vehicles; experience transporting passengers preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to maintain professional boundaries confidentiality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, load and unload supplies, and stand for extended periods while cooking.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Daily transport to and from clinical treatment, approved outside appointments, medication pickups, and vendor pickups for food and supplies.
• On Thursdays and Fridays the Driver also serves as the Part-Time House Cook.
• Maintain a daily trip log documenting date, time, destination, mileage, residents transported, and purpose of trip.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

ORH REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES
• Check safety equipment and health of neighborhood concerns related to the kitchen and ensure it is in good working order.
• Periodically check assigned areas (e.g., pantry, kitchen, parking areas, kitchen and dining areas) for physical safety hazards such as overloaded electrical outlets and blockages with appliances/extension cords; report hazards immediately.
• Orient new residents to transportation and kitchen policies and procedures.
