A rapidly growing fintech company is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join its expanding finance team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the company's continued growth, overseeing complex accounting matters, supporting financial reporting, and helping strengthen accounting processes and controls as the business scales.
Responsibilities:Research and interpret complex accounting guidance under US GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 842.Oversee technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and complex transactions.Prepare technical accounting memos, position papers, and supporting documentation.Support monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.Partner with finance, legal, and operational teams on new business initiatives and accounting implications.Assist with the implementation and enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.Support external audits and serve as a key resource for technical accounting questions.
Qualifications:CPA required.Experience in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and private industry.Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 and ASC 842.Experience researching and documenting complex accounting matters.Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment and manage multiple priorities.Strong communication skills and ability to partner across various business functions.
