Functional Analyst I

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Functional Analyst I to support our claims department.

This 100% onsite role requires strong insurance domain experience.

Tasks

• Support daily operations within the claims department.
• Research, validate, and process complex claims information.
• Create and maintain detailed reports and spreadsheets tracking claims aging, coordination of benefits (COB), pre-certifications, and other claims-related activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Functional Analyst, Claims Analyst, or Claims Processor.
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs are mandatory).
• Mandatory experience with Adobe or Foxit.
• Prior project management experience is required.
• Must be local to Maryland and within a drivable distance to Baltimore.
• Experience with Luminex and Oracle (a plus).
• Strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Schedule

• 100% onsite.
• 6-Month Contract-to-Hire (C2H).
• 3 weeks of classroom training (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), followed by an additional 3 weeks of chairside training alongside a peer Functional Analyst.
• Flexible arrival window starting as early as 7:00 AM through the end of the workday.
