We are looking for a hands-on Functional Vehicle Test Engineer to support on-highway diesel truck validation.
Candidates must have experience in vehicle, engine, or powertrain testing.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:Execute vehicle, engine, and powertrain testing for on-highway trucks.Install and troubleshoot instrumentation, including thermocouples, strain gauges, and sensors.Perform data logging, analysis, and performance validation.
Troubleshoot systems and conduct root cause analysis.Use Vector tools such as CANape and CANalyzer for diagnostics and data analysis.
Prepare daily test reports, graphs, and validation documentation.
✅ Must-Have Skills:Vehicle, engine, or powertrain testing experience.
Hands-on automotive instrumentation.
Data logging and analysis.
Experience with CAN tools (CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe).
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
⭐ Nice to Have:Diesel engine and aftertreatment systems experience.
Chassis or towable chassis dynamometer testing.
MATLAB, INCA, or FMEA experience.
Truck or heavy-duty vehicle experience.
🎓 Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Automotive, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, or Controls Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Entry-level to early-career engineers are welcome; internships are acceptable.
Willingness to travel approximately 40% annually, including 10–18 weeks of summer testing and 10–18 weeks of winter testing.
Comfortable working in a union shop environment.
