Job description
Discount ACR is seeking a motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our HVAC business operations in Metro Phoenix, Arizona. This full-time role offers flexibility to work from our office or remotely within the Phoenix area. You will be the key driver of our business success, managing client relationships, sales strategies, and technician onboarding alongside our lead technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Hire, onboard, manage, schedule, and if necessary, terminate technicians to maintain a skilled and reliable team.
- Manage scheduling to optimize service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Oversee accounting tasks including bookkeeping and payroll to ensure financial accuracy.
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients, personally verifying service requests and scheduling appointments after initial dispatch contact.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize client retention and satisfaction.
- Organize sales meetings, presentations, and client communications to ensure consistent follow-up and engagement.
- Analyze sales data to track performance against targets and identify growth opportunities.
- Provide training and support to sales personnel to enhance skills and effectiveness.
- Manage escalated customer service issues and resolve conflicts promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive client experiences and seamless service delivery.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience as a business manager capable of wearing multiple hats (excluding technical HVAC work).
- Strong organizational, communication, and sales skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
- Experience managing client relationships and scheduling in a service-oriented business.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and payroll processes.
- Residency within Metro Phoenix, Arizona, and ability to meet clients and technicians locally.
