Role Description The Gerente Legal o Comercial is a full-time, on-site role based in Distrito Nacional, Dominican Republic. This position is responsible for overseeing legal and commercial activities related to telecommunications regulation, including reviewing and managing contracts, supporting commercial negotiations, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role includes preparing reports, business proposals, and strategic plans to support organizational goals, as well as analyzing market conditions and regulatory frameworks that affect commercial operations. The manager will lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team, collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders, and provide guidance on legal and commercial risks. Daily tasks also involve monitoring the performance of commercial initiatives, optimizing processes, and contributing to the development of policies and best practices.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, regulatory frameworks, and commercial scenarios to support decision-making.Proficiency in commercial management and business planning, including experience in developing strategies, budgets, and business cases.Experience in team management, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams in a complex regulatory or commercial environment.Solid contract management skills, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and monitoring agreements to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; advanced studies or specialization in telecommunications, regulatory law, or commercial management is an asset.Knowledge of the telecommunications sector and relevant national regulations in the Dominican Republic, or willingness to quickly acquire this expertise.Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish; proficiency in English is beneficial.Ability to work on-site, handle multiple priorities, and maintain high ethical standards and professional integrity.
