About the role
JCM Consultants is seeking two energetic, hands-on graduate engineers to join its project team in Randburg. This opportunity is suited to recent Mechanical or Electrical Engineering graduates who completed their degree within the last five years and want to apply their skills to real-world projects.
Working closely with senior engineers and company leadership, you will review designs, identify improvements, and support project delivery across industrial and mining sectors. This is a field-oriented role involving site work, practical problem-solving, mechanical systems, and air technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Review and validate designs for HVAC, ventilation, and mechanical systems.
- Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution.
- Conduct site inspections, equipment checks, and system evaluations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve design efficiency and project execution.
- Recommend improvements to system performance and reliability.
- Occasionally travel to client sites across South Africa and neighboring countries.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, completed within the last five years.
- Strong interest or experience in HVAC systems, air quality control, or ventilation engineering.
- Basic understanding of project management; formal training or practical experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site in industrial environments.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- A hands-on attitude; this position is not suited to candidates seeking purely desk-based work.
