About the role

Sola Insurance is an Atlanta-based insurtech MGA. It sells standalone wind and hail parametric insurance to homeowners through independent agent partners. This builder role will bring together claims operations for the existing parametric product and the new homeowners product in one unified function.

Responsibilities

• Own the full claims lifecycle across both products, from first notice of loss through payment, subrogation, and closure.
• Be accountable for cycle time, loss adjustment expense, leakage, litigation rate, and customer satisfaction across the book.
• Bring parametric and indemnity claims processes together, including how they interact when a payout and an indemnity claim come from the same loss event.
• Lead TPA selection for the new homeowners product, from RFP through contract negotiation, and manage the TPA with SLAs, audits, and file reviews.
• Build internal first notice of loss operations for both products, including staffing, scripts, and escalation paths.
• Own catastrophe response strategy for a book concentrated in wind and hail.
• Decide what stays with the TPA and what moves in-house, and build the migration roadmap.
• Set a customer-centric claims approach focused on fast, fair, and accurate communication and sound judgment.
• Operate within carrier delegated authority.
