HR Generalist

About the role

Metro Protection Services is a trusted security partner across Oregon and Southwest Washington.

We provide armed and unarmed on site security, patrol, alarm response, K-9 detection, live CCTV monitoring, and event security.

Tasks

• Recruit and hire security officers: post jobs, screen, interview, and extend offers
• Run onboarding: I-9s, background checks, new hire forms in Zoho Forms, and orientation
• Track guard licensing and renewals (Oregon DPSST and Washington DOL)
• Maintain employee records, terminations, and exit dates in Patriot HR
• Send and track employee documents for e-signature in Zoho Sign
• Manage office staff attendance and time off in Patriot HR
• Handle workers' comp claims and reporting with SAIF
• Keep policies and the employee handbook current
• Support compliance with Oregon and Washington labor laws
• Track turnover, open positions, and hiring numbers

Requirements

• 2+ years of HR experience (security, staffing, or shift based work a plus)
• Knowledge of Oregon and Washington employment law
• High volume hiring experience
• Familiar with Claude or similar AI tools
• Organized, confidential, and steady under pressure
• Comfortable learning new HR software
• PHR, SHRM-CP, or HR degree a plus

• $55,000 per year
