This leader will join the executive (C-level) team and professionalize the human capital function within a rapidly scaling organization. Prior experience in banking or financial services is not required — but proven senior HR leadership experience is mandatory.Reports to Chief Operating Officer (COO)SupervisesTeam of 4 to 6 recruiters + 2 HR/benefits generalistsWork modelOn-site, full-timeLocationSan Juan, Puerto RicoKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and lead the full human capital strategy aligned to the company’s aggressive growth.Build and strengthen organizational culture, employer reputation, and talent brand.Lead and develop the recruiting team, focused primarily on sales and operations hiring.Elevate hiring standards: raise the hiring bar — hire fewer, hire better.Manage payroll and benefits through ADP; administer insurance, policies, and training programs.Design general training and leadership development programs.Handle employee relations with diplomacy and sound judgment; leverage the external labor attorney on retainer.Ensure compliance with internal policies and sound labor practices.Serve as a strategic partner to the COO and the executive team.Candidate ProfileHigh technological fluency; comfortable in a fintech / AI / LLM environment.Strong analytical and quantitative skills (math-savvy).Proven ability to build and lead teams.Diplomatic, collaborative, and firm leadership style — no drama, no ego.Business mindset: understands that HR exists to help the company grow.Senior HR leadership experience: mandatory. Deep HR management experience is required.No prior experience in the financial services industry required.CompensationBase salary: $100K – $125KTotal package: up to $150K combining base + bonuses + benefits.Competitive benefits, insurance, and training plan.
