Job description
About the role
Putting Chicago to Work is hiring for a full-time, grant-funded position serving 30+ counties in central Illinois. The role works closely with IDOT’s Bureau of Safety Programs and Engineering and focuses on traffic safety initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support occupant protection, child passenger safety, impaired driving, distracted driving, teen driving, and other traffic safety initiatives.
- Build partnerships throughout the region.
- Travel in-state.
Requirements
- Experience in safety education or program delivery.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to building partnerships throughout the region.
- Must live in Region 4.
- Child Passenger Safety Technician certification is preferred; candidates can obtain certification after hire.
