About the role
FastTek Global is seeking an experienced Instructional Design Specialist for a 3-to-4-month contract engagement. The role supports the design, development, and deployment of digital learning solutions for a rapidly growing workforce. The specialist will partner with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), the Workday HCM Operations team, and Human Resources to create online learning experiences delivered through the Workday Learning Management System (LMS).
The ideal candidate combines project management skills with expertise in adult learning principles and digital content development. The role involves managing multiple projects, building stakeholder partnerships, maintaining timelines, and delivering learning solutions that support organizational capability, compliance, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement online learning experiences using adult learning methodologies and instructional design best practices.
- Build an internal certification program with structured learning paths, knowledge assessments, certification criteria, and completion credentials.
- Partner with cross-functional subject matter experts to capture business processes and turn technical content into interactive, learner-focused training materials.
- Develop just-in-time learning resources, including SCORM-compliant eLearning modules, MP4 video demonstrations, job aids, reference guides, and performance support materials.
- Manage learning projects supporting Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Manufacturing, LEAN initiatives, Legal, Human Resources, and other operational teams.
