Investment VP

About the role

Metis Search is seeking an experienced Vice President to join an expanding investment team in New York. The platform invests across the Energy, Power, Infrastructure and Energy Transition sectors throughout North America, with flexibility to invest across the capital structure through equity and credit.

The Vice President will work across the investment lifecycle, from origination and underwriting through execution, portfolio management and value creation, working closely with senior investment professionals and portfolio company management teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead origination and business development, developing relationships with sponsors, management teams, intermediaries and other industry stakeholders to identify investment opportunities.
• Evaluate opportunities across the Energy, Power, Infrastructure and Energy Transition sectors, assessing investment merits, risks and potential returns.
• Lead transactions from initial assessment and due diligence through structuring, negotiation and closing.
• Develop and negotiate investment structures across the capital stack, balancing return objectives with downside protection and risk management.
• Build and review financial models, valuations, investment cases and scenario analyses.
• Prepare investment committee materials and present investment recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio investments.
