Job description
Tasks
- Remediate Microsoft Word and PDF documents for accessibility compliance
- Apply proper heading structure, ALT text, reading order, tags, bookmarks, and metadata
- Convert Word documents to accessible PDFs while maintaining formatting and accessibility
- Identify and correct accessibility and formatting issues
- Remediate complex documents, including forms, tables, and multi-section reports
- Work with content owners to clarify document requirements and resolve issues
- Perform accessibility validation using Accessibility Checkers
- Ensure deliverables comply with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA
Requirements
- Microsoft Word Accessibility
- Adobe Acrobat Pro
- PDF Tagging & Remediation
- Reading Order, Bookmarks & ALT Text
- Headings, Tables & Lists
- WCAG 2.1 AA
- Section 508 & ADA
- Complex Document Remediation
- Accessibility Testing & QA
- Government/Public Sector experience is a plus
- Preferred Skills: AEM Forms
- Preferred Skills: Fillable PDF / Accessible Forms
- Preferred Skills: JAWS / NVDA Screen Readers
- Preferred Skills: Accessibility Reports & Documentation
