Laboratory Analysis Inspector – Panama

CBM 360 TIV is hiring four Laboratory Analysis Inspectors to support mining projects in Panama and international operations. This full-time, on-site role is suited to professionals with 5–10 years of experience in mining laboratory analysis, mineral testing, chemical assays, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), and independent verification of laboratory results. Spanish is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and verify samples of copper, cobalt, gold, lithium, nickel, manganese, iron ore, and mineral concentrates.
• Perform or supervise laboratory testing using XRF, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, AAS, titration, and other applicable analytical methods.
• Oversee sample preparation, including crushing, drying, splitting, and pulverizing.
• Maintain sample identification, labeling, sealing, traceability, and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Review certified reference materials (CRMs), blanks, duplicates, and calibration records as part of QA/QC procedures.
• Compare independent laboratory results with exporters’ declarations and supporting documentation.
• Identify potential grade deviations, contamination, analytical inconsistencies, or mineral substitution.
• Inspect laboratory equipment, calibration records, and procedures, and document findings in clear reports.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in mining, mineral analysis, chemical assays, or laboratory inspection.
• Knowledge of mineral sample preparation, analytical methods, QA/QC, and chain-of-custody controls.
• Ability to review laboratory results and investigate discrepancies independently.
• Spanish language proficiency.
• Availability to work on-site in Panama and support international project assignments.
