Licensed Dietitian or Nutritionist

South Side Help Center (SSHC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Dietitian or Nutritionist to support individuals living with HIV through our Ryan White Part A Food Bank & Home-Delivered Meal Program.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Nutrition Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting health, improving food security, and supporting positive health outcomes for Ryan White diagnosed clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct individual nutrition assessments for Ryan White diagnosed clients.
- Assess clients’ food needs, nutrition status, and dietary concerns.
- Provide personalized nutrition education and counseling.
- Assist clients in selecting appropriate meal options and developing meal plans.
- Collaborate with program staff to address clients’ food insecurity and health goals.
- Follow up with clients to monitor progress, address challenges, and adjust food plans as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Current licensure as Registered Dietitian (RD) or Licensed Nutritionist (LDN) in the State of Illinois.
- Experience working with individuals with chronic illnesses and/or in community or public health settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and patient care.
- Passion for health equity and community service.

COMPENSATION / SCHEDULE
- Part-Time Contract.
- 10–12 hours per month.
- Flexible schedule.
- Contract/Independent Contractor.
