Job description

Peacful Pathways Behavioral Health Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services. The LPC will provide psychotherapy and Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) services to clients while promoting recovery, stability, independence, and overall emotional wellness.

Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and clinical evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Provide individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy as clinically appropriate.
• Provide Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) services in accordance with the client’s treatment plan and applicable program requirements.
• Assist clients with developing coping skills, emotional regulation, symptom-management strategies, problem-solving skills, and independent functioning.
• Provide psychoeducation regarding mental health conditions, symptoms, treatment, medication adherence, and recovery.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including CBT, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and other appropriate therapeutic approaches.
• Provide treatment for PTSD, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, and other behavioral health conditions.
• Assess and monitor clients for safety concerns and provide appropriate crisis intervention and referrals when indicated.
• Monitor client progress and modify interventions and treatment goals as clinically appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, psychotherapy notes, CPST progress notes, and other required clinical documentation.
• Coordinate care with psychiatric providers, primary care providers, community resources, family members, and other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team when authorized and appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, professional ethical standards, organizational policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Counseling or a related behavioral health discipline from an accredited institution.
• Current and unrestricted Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license.
• Knowledge of DSM diagnostic criteria, behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and evidence-based interventions.
• Ability to provide and appropriately document CPST services within the scope of applicable program and payer requirements.
• Strong clinical judgment, therapeutic communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with diverse behavioral health populations preferred.
• Experience with trauma-informed care and/or Veteran populations is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team.

Starting pay: $40 /hour. We are hiring full time, part time, and contractors.
