About the role
Distinct | North America is recruiting a litigation associate to defend bodily injury and personal injury claims for insurers and their insureds. The role includes premises, auto and general negligence matters, with opportunities to handle depositions, mediations and hearings and build files toward trial.
Responsibilities
- Defend bodily injury and personal injury claims for insurers and their insureds.
- Handle premises, auto and general negligence matters.
- Conduct depositions, mediations and hearings.
- Work up damages using medical records, treating physicians, life care plans and IME experts.
- Build files toward trial, with trial exposure for those who want it.
Requirements
- Florida Bar membership and 2+ years of litigation experience.
- Plaintiff-side experience is useful.
- Counsel-level lawyers and 2nd years are welcome.
- 1,950 billable hours.
