Maintenance Reliability Manager

About the role

As the Maintenance & Reliability Manager at SI Group, you will report to the Director - Newport Operations and lead the Maintenance Department according to a Zero EHS impact, Zero Failure philosophy. The role focuses on maximizing product output and achieving the lowest total cost of ownership while maintaining plant equipment, assets, and facilities in line with SIG, regulatory, and industry-accepted best-practice standards. You will also cultivate a culture of Continuous Improvement and SI Operational Excellence, and engage team members in developmental activities that support individual and organizational growth.

Responsibilities

• Ensure EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance.
• Align department goals with site business imperatives.
• Develop zero-based budget plans and manage maintenance costs.
• Ensure timely, quality repairs for site assets requiring maintenance support.
• Execute the site asset reliability strategy and program to minimize downtime and leverage plant capabilities.
• Maintain storeroom accountability and ensure adequate availability of correctly identified critical components within budget guidelines.
• Manage contractor relationships, work assignments, service level agreements, and associated KPIs to increase value-added work completion.
• Direct daily work order management, including work identification, approval, planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
• Manage work-order lost time and departmental overtime to maximize SI resources.
• Lead problem-solving and root cause analysis processes to resolve reliability problems and reduce risks.
