Maintenance Supervisor - The Haven Athens

About the role

Landmark Properties, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the community maintenance program and preserve the value of the asset. The role maintains the integrity of the community to provide a safe and secure living and working environment. The Maintenance Supervisor is customer centered and has the organizational and leadership skills necessary to run an efficient maintenance team.

Reports to: Community Manager. Direct reports: Maintenance Technician and Groundskeeper.

Responsibilities

• Direct property maintenance operations, inspect the community daily, and implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program.
• Organize maintenance staff and special or emergency meetings; report time and attendance.
• Maintain a clean, professional, OSHA approved work environment and follow Landmark Properties policies and procedures.
• Protect the confidentiality of resident and company information.
• Assign tasks to, supervise, and evaluate staff and vendors.
• Participate in developing the annual maintenance and turn budgets; order necessary supplies and parts within budget and implement cost-cutting strategies.
• Assist the Community Manager with bids for capital projects and turn contracts, and provide documentation or receipts for company purchases.
• Manage maintenance staff, including hiring, ongoing training, and development.
• Understand residents’ needs and expectations, exceed them, develop a sense of community among residents and staff, and communicate effectively with residents.
