Mechanical Engineer

LM Stabilizer & Hydraulic Engineering is a leading specialist in marine hydraulic systems, providing worldwide support to the superyacht industry. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on Mechanical/Hydraulic Engineer to join our growing team.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fault-finding, repairing and maintaining hydraulic and mechanical equipment and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.ResponsibilitiesService, repair and overhaul hydraulic equipment.Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults.Read and interpret hydraulic schematics.Strip, inspect and rebuild hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders and valves.Install and commission hydraulic systems.Carry out preventative maintenance on board yachts and in our workshop.Complete service reports and documentation.Travel when required throughout the Mediterranean and occasionally worldwide.RequirementsMechanical or engineering background.Good understanding of hydraulic systems.Ability to read hydraulic circuit diagrams.Confident using workshop equipment and hand tools.Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.Full driving licence.Good spoken and written English.Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels.Desirable SkillsExperience with marine hydraulic systems.Knowledge of stabilisers, thrusters or deck machinery.Welding, machining or fabrication experience.Electrical fault-finding experience.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.Overtime opportunities.Ongoing manufacturer training.Opportunity to travel internationally.Modern workshop and specialist tooling.Career progression within a growing engineering company.If you're a practical engineer who enjoys solving technical problems and wants to work on some of the world's most prestigious yachts, we'd love to hear from you.
