Employment status: Full time. Shift: Days.
Responsibilities
- Assist in patient care throughout nursing areas.
- Safely transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher, provide dispatch services and document services appropriately.
- Observe patients on a patient care unit who have been assessed to require constant observation to maximize their safety.
- Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient clinic functioning.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant within 2 years of hire.
- Experienced caregiver with practical office training.
- BLS certification.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Preferred: 1-2 years in a general or healthcare office; strong experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services department; and/or acute care hospital experience.
