WE’RE HIRING:
MENTAL HEALTH MONITOR / SITTER

LOCATION: Phoenix, Arizona – Mental Health Unit (MHU)

The Mental Health Monitor/Sitter provides constant observation of patients who are on suicide watch, in therapeutic restraints, or otherwise identified as high at risk for harm or behavior. The position involves direct and ongoing monitoring, documentation, and communication. The role provides medical and behavioral support through observation and reporting while maintaining patient safety and following all instructions from the medical personnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide continuous observation of patients on suicide watch, in therapeutic restraints, or identified as at risk.
- Monitor patient’s through on-site observation and documented observations and reports.
- Document observations accurately and immediately to ensure safety.
- Follow all instructions and protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Provide timely updates to clinical staff.

REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience monitoring multiple patients.
- Experience assisting and observing patients with behavioral health conditions.
- Minimum of 6+ months of clinical, behavioral, or medical experience or direct experience in a medical setting.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.

MENTAL HEALTH MONITOR/SITTER will be provided with support and training.
