Mental Health Monitor Sitter

PLEASE NOTE: The Mental Health Monitor/Sitter provides continuous observation of patients who are on suicide watch, in psychiatric restraints, or otherwise identified as being at risk of self-harm or harm to others. The position involves detailed monitoring, documentation, and communication. Additionally, conduct educational or training training and follow all necessary policies and procedures at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide continuous observation of patients on suicide watch, in psychiatric restraints, or in otherwise at-risk conditions.
- Monitor patient through in-person observation and assigned video surveillance systems.
- Document observations accurately and promptly.
- Report behaviors, accidents, and incidents immediately.
- Follow all instructions from medical personnel.
- Offer appropriate support and assistance.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience monitoring patients or working in medical, psychiatric, or behavioral health settings preferred.
- Minimum of six (6) months of clinical, or experience in a medical setting.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Compassion and understanding of patients.
- Ability to follow instructions and medical policies.
- Basic computer skills.
