Mental Health Monitor Sitter

The Mental Health Monitor/Sitter provides continuous observation of patients who are on suicide watch, in therapeutic restraints, or otherwise identified as at risk for harm or behavior. The position involves verbal and written monitoring, documentation and engagement. Communicates appropriately with medical staff, following all instructions from the medical personnel responsible for the unit. The role is critical in maintaining patient safety and supporting mental health care services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide continuous observation of patients on suicide watch, in therapeutic restraints, or otherwise at risk.
- Monitor patients through in-person observation and direct video observation.
- Engage and intervene appropriately as directed.
- Document observations accurately and promptly.
- Report changes and incidents immediately to licensed personnel.
- Follow all instructions from the medical personnel responsible for the unit.

REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience monitoring patients in a healthcare setting, or experience working in mental health care.
- Experience in a medical setting.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Professionalism and reliability.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

- SUPPORTING TIME will be paid as contracted; ongoing training provided.
