Job description
James Jones is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Worker for a contract position in Concord, California. This onsite role offers the opportunity to support people navigating mental health challenges in a collaborative environment focused on patient care and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
- Help develop and implement individualized care plans under the guidance of licensed professionals.
- Engage patients in activities and therapeutic interventions that promote mental wellness.
- Monitor and document patient progress, behavior, and changes in condition.
- Support daily living activities with compassion and respect.
- Communicate patient outcomes and concerns to team members.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to discussions about patient care practices.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in psychology or a related field.
- Experience providing patient care, preferably in a mental health setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare or support role is advantageous.
- First aid or CPR certification is preferred but not required.
Work Environment and Compensation
Mental Health Workers report to licensed mental health professionals and collaborate with other healthcare providers to support comprehensive care. This is a non-remote contract position based in Concord, California. Pay is $25 per hour.
