Mine Operations Supt.

QUALIFICATIONS / PREFERENCES:
Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering and must be a Licensed Mining Engineer.
Candidates should possess at least 10 years of progressive experience in open-pit mining operations, with substantial exposure to mine production, operations management, and leadership roles within the mining industry.

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong experience in mine production management, mine planning, mine implementation, operational supervvision/contractor management, equipment utilization, and workforce leadership, ensuring the safe and efficient achievement of production targets.

Must possess in-depth knowledge of open-pit mining methods, mine safety regulations, production planning, pit development, drill and blast coordination, haulage operations, equipment productivity, and operational efficiency improvement initiatives. Experience in managing day-to-day mining activities while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements is essential.

The role requires strong leadership, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with Mining, Geology, Survey, Maintenance, Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory teams to optimize mine performance.

Knowledge of applicable MGB regulations, environmental compliance requirements, occupational safety and health standards, and mining industry best practices is highly desirable.

Candidates must possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and be capable of leading mining operations in a dynamic project or operating mine environment while driving continuous improvement, safety excellence, and operational performance.
