About the role
Cordillera Exploration Co. Inc. is seeking a project-based Mining Engineer to develop mine designs and production plans for surface and/or underground mining operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop mine designs, layouts, and production plans using appropriate mine planning and design software.
- Prepare short-, medium-, and long-term production schedules covering sequencing, equipment utilization, production targets, and resource allocation.
- Work with geologists and other technical personnel to evaluate mineable resources, mining methods, production scenarios, operating costs, and the economic viability of mining projects.
- Assess and optimize mineable resources and reserves through mine design, sequencing, cut-off parameters, and production strategies.
- Coordinate with geology, operations, and other departments to align practical mine plans with production objectives, timelines, and available resources.
- Monitor mine performance against approved plans and schedules, identify variances, and recommend adjustments to improve operational efficiency and achieve production targets.
