Nicolito Sepulvida is seeking a dedicated 3rd Engineer for bulk cargo ships based in Manila, Philippines. In this contract marine engineering role, you will help keep vessel machinery operating safely and efficiently while supporting onboard performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor machinery operations and equipment performance onboard bulk cargo vessels.
• Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions and assist with effective repairs.
• Follow maritime safety regulations and procedures during engineering operations.
• Work with the engineering team on routine maintenance and vessel system repairs.
• Maintain accurate machinery logs and technical reports covering operations and repairs.
• Participate in safety drills and training to prepare for emergency situations.
• Support senior engineers with onboard engineering projects and inspections.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Familiarity with maritime safety regulations.
• Collaborative communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.
• Technical drawing proficiency.

Work Environment

The 3rd Engineer works closely with the vessel’s engineering team and reports to senior engineers. The role involves coordinating with shipboard functions to keep engineering work aligned with operational objectives and safety requirements. You will use engine room instruments and machinery management systems as part of daily duties.

Compensation and Employment

This is a contract position based in Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines. The stated pay is 3700 per month.
