Mixed Media Arts Instructor – Baltimore, MD

Creative Development Studios is hiring a part-time Mixed Media Arts Instructor in Baltimore, Maryland. This in-person role teaches school-age youth in grades K–8 during the 2026–2027 school year. Applicants must be located in Baltimore and have experience working with school-age youth.

Pay and Schedule

• Pay: $50 per hour listed; the job description states a range of $50–$55 per hour.
• Class length: One hour per session.
• Typical weekly hours: Most instructors work 1–3 hours per week.

• Times: Vary between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

About the Role

Plan, organize, teach, and supervise creative arts and crafts classes for youth. Lessons may use a variety of mixed media and should support creativity and positive youth development. Instructors guide students, teach art techniques, maintain supplies and equipment, and foster a safe, orderly, and welcoming learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver arts activities that encourage students to explore their creativity.
• Plan programs, services, lessons, and activities for K–8 students.
• Teach, coach, and guide students through varied art projects and techniques.
• Incorporate youth development principles and goals into lessons and assignments.
• Maintain a safe and positive classroom by providing guidance and enforcing appropriate expectations.
• Follow program objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards.
• Maintain art supplies and equipment.
• Build effective working relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Support programs and activities that help prepare youth for success.

Qualifications

• Must be located in Baltimore, Maryland.
• Experience working with school-age youth is required.
• Ability to teach creative arts using a range of mixed media is preferred.
• Ability to plan and supervise engaging, age-appropriate activities.
