Job description
TekBricks is hiring a Network Engineer in Waxhaw, North Carolina. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure. You will help ensure secure, reliable, high-performance operations across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure.
- Install and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity and infrastructure issues.
- Support network security, access controls, and compliance requirements.
- Perform network upgrades and backups, and contribute to disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with systems, security, and cloud teams.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for network-related incidents.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or Palo Alto equipment and platforms.
- Experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, or EIGRP.
- Knowledge of firewall configuration and network security best practices.
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or Wireshark.
- Understanding of cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP is optional.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or JNCIA.
- Experience with SD-WAN and network automation.
- Knowledge of Linux or Windows networking.
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
Compensation and Employment
