Network Operations Engineer/Network Administrator

About the role

Supporting and maintaining enterprise network environments across multiple facilities in the Calgary area.

Tasks

• Administer, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, routing, switching, wireless, and firewall-related issues.
• Perform network hardware upgrades, refreshes, and infrastructure changes.
• Monitor and optimize network performance across multiple locations.
• Work closely with the Infrastructure & Operations team to support critical business systems.
• Document changes, incidents, and network configurations.
• Travel to facilities as required (approximately 1-2 times per week).

Requirements

• Proven experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of switching and routing technologies.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting wireless network environments.
• Experience administering and supporting network firewalls.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Experience performing network upgrades and infrastructure changes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an operations team.
• Valid driver's license, access to a personal vehicle, and willingness to travel locally.
• Preferred: Experience with HPE Aruba switching and wireless solutions.
• Preferred: Experience with Arista networking.

Schedule

• 3-Month Contract.
• Full-Time Onsite.
• Occasional local travel to client facilities.
