Job description
About the role
Dhdgroup is seeking an On-Site Resident Quality Engineer Automotive to serve as the primary liaison between the OEM/Tier 1 client and the manufacturing team. The role focuses on monitoring product quality and resolving issues at the customer's site.
Responsibilities
- Lead defect investigations, containment actions, and root cause analysis.
- Communicate daily with customer and internal stakeholders about quality concerns and improvements.
- Support quality audits, inspections, and corrective action plans.
- Provide hands-on support during new product launches and engineering changes.
- Prepare and submit quality documentation and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Business-related field.
- 5+ years of experience in the automotive field.
- Automotive quality or manufacturing background preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Hands-on familiarity with 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagram methodologies.
- Ability to work independently at a customer's site.
- Bilingual English/Korean strongly preferred.
- Experience in high-tech manufacturing or startup environments is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP is a plus.
