Job description
About the role
Southern California Caregiving Services has an open regular caregiver position in Los Angeles, United States. The client is a female with advanced dementia, chronic constipation, severe mobility impairment, and CPAP use during sleep.
Initial coverage for the first 2 weeks requires 8-hour coverage: 2 weekdays and 1 weekend shift, 11:00am–7:00pm. Possible schedules are Mon, Wed, and Sat; Tue, Thu, Sun; or Wed, Fri, and Sun, depending on the need; and a weekend day.
Responsibilities
- Provide full assistance with ADLs and personal care, and assist with meals and fluids.
- Wheel the client to the dining area and assist as needed.
- Use a Hoyer lift for safe transfers; reposition the client and provide skin protection.
- Assist with stretching and ROM as tolerated.
- Provide daily one-on-one stimulation and activities, and assist the client with facility activities.
- Monitor bowel movements, sleep and CPAP tolerance, mood, and behavior.
- Maintain continuous supervision and safety.
- Report incidents, concerns, and changes from baseline.
- Maintain the client’s privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Provide real-time care updates with timestamps.

- HCA, TB tests, CPR and First Aid, SSN, and DSS background clearance.
- Preference for a female caregiver able to perform lifting using a Hoyer lift and driving using a Hoyer lift.
