Oracle DBA

Tasks

• Provide 24x7 production and lower-environment database support.
• Troubleshoot database incidents and perform root cause analysis for critical issues.
• Manage database startup, shutdown, restart, failover, switchover, and maintenance activities.
• Monitor database health, availability, alert logs, and OEM alerts.
• Perform database performance tuning using AWR, ASH, and execution plans.
• Manage tablespaces, ASM, archive logs, Oracle Home, backups, and storage capacity.
• Handle RMAN backups, recovery, Flashback, database restoration, and standby rebuilds.
• Support database patching, upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery.
• Manage database users, roles, privileges, security, auditing, and encryption.
• Monitor replication, resolve replication lag, and support Data Guard and GoldenGate.
• Develop automation scripts and improve DBA processes.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, development, and vendor teams.
