Edify is a U.S.-registered nonprofit organization operating in multiple countries across Africa and Latin America. We partner with low-fee independent Christ-centered schools through training, education technology, access to financing, and school transformation initiatives.
Position Summary
The Christ-Centered Education Officer (CCEO) is a full-time, hybrid position based in Panama.
The CCEO will contribute to the strategic direction, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of Edify’s Christ-centered education programs. This person will support, train, coach, and mentor school leaders, administrators, and teachers to strengthen educational quality, spiritual formation, leadership, sustainability, and the effective use of education technology.
The position requires regular collaboration with Edify’s Panama team, partner schools, training organizations, and regional and global teams.
Primary Responsibilities
Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Edify partner schools, Christian school networks, training partners, and strategic stakeholders.
Coach and mentor school owners, administrators, head teachers, and educational leaders.
Support the formation of School Transformation Committees, discipleship clubs, and professional learning communities.
Identify partnerships that can support the growth and impact of Edify’s programs in Panama.
Training and School Support
Visit partner schools regularly and provide technical assistance to school leaders and teachers.
Facilitate training in biblical worldview, leadership, teaching skills, discipleship, education technology, and school sustainability.
Coordinate and supervise training delivered by external service providers.
Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of training through school visits, consultations, and assessments.
Support schools in applying Edify’s Outcome Map and program principles.
Strategy, Planning, and Implementation
Support the implementation of Edify’s strategic plans and Christ-centered education strategy.
Participate in setting short-term objectives and assessing program progress.
Coordinate the planning, organization, implementation, assessment, and reporting of training programs.
Identify school needs related to training, technology, financing, leadership, and institutional development.
Maintain accurate program information and records in Salesforce and other reporting systems.
Reporting
Submit weekly updates and monthly and quarterly reports on Core and Client Schools.
Prepare executive summaries supported by key program and impact metrics.
Collaborate with Edify teams and partner schools to document stories of educational and spiritual transformation.
Contribute to reports, proposals, presentations, and other program documentation.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Accounting and Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.
Three to five years of experience in education, international development, community development, youth development, or a related field.
Experience as an educator, school administrator, consultant, coach, or mentor is preferred.
Experience in Christian ministry leadership is highly desirable.
Experience designing programs, activities, and budgets.
Strong ability to design and deliver effective presentations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English and Spanish.
Strong report and proposal writing skills.
Strong technology skills, including Google Drive, database entry, email, and WhatsApp communication.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
Strong organization, time management, and self-directed initiative.

Travel Requirements
This position requires significant travel throughout Panama, including a minimum of 30 school visits per month.
The position may also require regional or international travel to attend Edify meetings and organizational events.
