About the job
Mahnke's Orthotics & Prosthetics is looking for dependable, customer service oriented individual to join our Medellin team! The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) works closely with the clinical staff to ensure patients are provided with quality care and service. The PCC is able to provide support to referring physicians and patients. The PCC will schedule appointments, verify insurance benefits and details.
Directly impact a patient’s life by processing new patient orders and updating electronic medical records, working together with our USA - Florida clinics to help bring a patient on service with the Company.
This is a full-time benefited position and is NOT through an agency. Typical hours for this role are Monday to Thursday schedule is 8:00am to 5pm. Guarantee 40 work hours per week, office located in El Poblado.
ResponsibilitiesProcessing and verifying patients information.Coordinating and scheduling new patient appointments for multiple practitioners using a computerized scheduling system.Creating new service accounts within software.Using multiple computer programs to validate insurance verification.Complete benefit checks and authorization for each patients’ insuranceObtaining necessary record information from referring providers to complete the new customers process.Working with different team members to implement a paperless workplace.Documenting work processes as required within patients account.Schedule/Confirm patient appointmentsActing in a friendly manner toward all callers, patients, doctors office, insurance companies, and other internal or external customers.Maintaining confidentiality of information on patients.Answer incoming calls from patients, caregivers, and patient referral sources regarding their orthotic order.Triaging calls to various departments.Performing other duties as assigned by the team leader/managers.
QualificationsStrong spoken and written English level (C1 or better)6 months of customer service experience.Basic typing and keyboarding skills.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.Good interpersonal and organizational skills.Highly detail-oriented.
