Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist - Remote - United States

Summit Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team remotely across the United States. This full-time position is vital for managing payroll and accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate financial transactions and compliance with payroll regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll transactions accurately and timely for all employees.
• Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations using accounting software.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end close procedures.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Communicate effectively with employees and vendors regarding payroll and payment inquiries.
• Work independently on various accounting tasks while collaborating with team members as needed.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks and SAP.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred.

This role involves close collaboration with finance team members including accountants and financial analysts, reporting to the accounting manager or finance director. Coordination with HR personnel is also essential to ensure accurate employee payment processes.
