Pediatric Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Boston, MA

NEXA Staffing Solutions is hiring a Pediatric Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse in Boston, Massachusetts. This contract opportunity offers $50 per hour, with per diem and bundle opportunities available.

Position Summary

Provide safe, competent, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients with acute and chronic medical and surgical conditions. The listed location also includes West Dayton, Ohio; confirm the assignment location when applying.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and evaluate pediatric patients throughout their care.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Recognize and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge care.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation in the EMR.
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least one year of RN work experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Ability to meet facility background screening, health screening, and onboarding documentation requirements. Additional vaccination or testing requirements may apply under facility policy.
