Personal Caregivers Needed

Schedule: 7 days per week (Schedule will be split between two caregivers)
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Client: Our client is a younger, bubbly Veteran who has had multiple strokes. Her left side and voice remain paralyzed, but she stays active and positive. She enjoys painting, decorating, physical therapy and entertainment activities, outings, and errands.

Responsibilities Include:
Assist with bed baths, dressing and personal care
Hoyer-assisted and safe transfers
Wheelchair and mobility support
Medication reminders (open morning & evening)
Meal preparation
Laundry, bed-making (3x/week), vacuuming, mopping
Helping with PT/movement activities
Accompanying to activities or errands
Providing supervision and fall-prevention support
Following the established plan of care
Always ask before assisting and support her independence

Schedule Options:
We need two dependable caregivers and are flexible with how the schedule is divided.

Option 1: Monday – Friday
(40 hrs/week) + Saturday & Sunday
(16 hrs/week)
Option 2: Monday – Thursday
(32 hrs/week) + Friday – Saturday
(24 hrs/week)

Paid Training Provided
Selected caregivers will receive training in at least one full day of paid hands-on training with the caregiver’s current training partner. Training will cover transfer, assistance with personal preferences, equipment, and how she prefers assistance.

Dependable and punctual
Patient, respectful and compassionate
Comfortable with hands-on personal care experience with Hoyer lifts or mobility assistance is a plus (training provided)
Able to follow detailed instructions
Comfortable with allergies-free, smoke-free environment
Must be able to pass a background check and appointment pending assignment

IMPORTANT ALLERGY REQUIREMENTS
This client has severe allergies. Caregivers must be pet-free, smoke-free, and avoid perfumes, colognes and heavily scented products. Please do not apply any products that bear pets or smoke.
