About the role

Eyramconsult is listing graduate and postdoctoral positions with the Computer Vision for Smart Structure Laboratory (CVISS Lab) and the iNDT Laboratory in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Positions include direct-entry Ph.D., Ph.D., and postdoctoral fellow. Research will focus on technologies to enhance the safety and resilience of the civil environment, including condition and safety assessment of reinforced concrete and steel structures using non-destructive testing (NDT).

Successful candidates will work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers to develop solutions for advanced infrastructure assessment. The program may start in Winter 2027 or Spring 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research related to state-of-the-art technologies for civil environment safety and resilience.
• Assess the condition and safety of infrastructure, including reinforced concrete and steel structures, using non-destructive testing.
• Work with engineers and researchers to develop solutions for advanced infrastructure assessment.
