Job Description
The Computer Vision for Smart Structure Laboratory (CVISS Lab), led by Dr. Chulmin Yeum, and the iNDT Laboratory, led by Dr. Giovanni Cascante, in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo, invite applications for graduate and postdoctoral positions (direct-entry Ph.D., Ph.D., and postdoctoral fellow). Successful candidates will conduct application for research and in the fields of applied AI, computer vision, and non-destructive testing (NDT). The primary research focus is the condition and safety assessment of infrastructure, including reinforced concrete and steel structures, using non-destructive testing (NDT). Candidates will work with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and researchers to develop innovative solutions that advance infrastructure assessment. Applicants with experience in NDT are strongly encouraged to apply.
