Pharmacist

About the role

Green Thumb Industries (GTI) is seeking a Pharmacist to direct and manage the dispensing of cannabis products to medical patients. The Pharmacist serves as the medical authority, providing correct dosage, education and counseling. The role includes one-on-one patient education and prospective drug utilization reviews to assess therapy appropriateness, strain, dosage, route and duration, allergies, drug interactions, contraindications and possible misuse.

Responsibilities

• Be in the store during scheduled shifts to allow for dispensing of cannabis products.
• Assess patient certifications for restrictions and help patients determine an appropriate course of treatment.
• Drive retail sales and patient retention.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and federal and state laws.
• Communicate restrictions to the dispensary team, including limitations on product selection or quantity.
• Provide timely, accurate medication information to patients over the phone and in person.
• Educate new and existing patients about the properties and benefits of cannabis.
• Stay up to date on current cannabis and marijuana research and information.
• Assist with additional dispensary tasks as assigned by the store manager, which may include accepting deliveries and returns, inventory controls, employee training, fulfilling online orders and completing patient orders at the registers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a registered and licensed pharmacist.
