About the role

The Kidz Club PPEC is seeking a pediatric physical therapist for TKC Therapy. Full-time, part-time, or PRN hours are available. Children are on-site daily, so there are no appointments; you decide your own schedule.

TKC Therapy provides in-house, high-quality, intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to children attending The Kidz Club (TKC), a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center. PPEC centers provide daily skilled nursing care to medically complex children from birth to under 21.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose developmental, congenital, neurological, and musculoskeletal disorders in children from birth to 21.
• Develop individualized treatment plans following comprehensive evaluations to address strength and mobility difficulties.
• Use evidence-based practices tailored to each client's impairments, including therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, gait training, balance activities, and adaptive equipment or assistive devices.
• Complete evaluations, treatment notes, and LMNs in a timely and thorough manner.
• Educate and guide clients, families, and caregivers on strategies for carrying therapy over at home.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow therapists to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Stay current with advancements through continuing education and professional development.
• Follow ethical and professional standards outlined by the APTA.
