Job description
Pressence Recruiting is seeking a full-time Commercial Property Insurance Litigation Attorney in Houston, Texas. This on-site role offers an opportunity to manage insurance litigation matters, advise clients, negotiate settlements, and prepare cases for trial. The position reports to senior litigation partners and works closely with experienced attorneys and paralegals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of commercial property insurance litigation matters, including pretrial and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop strong cases and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations and represent them in negotiations and litigation.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and other legal documents.
- Interview clients to gather facts and develop case strategies.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure effective case management.
- Monitor changes in insurance law and regulatory requirements relevant to client matters.
- Present cases and lead negotiations as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Admission to the Texas Bar is required.
- Three to five years of litigation experience; insurance law experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and e-discovery software.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and client relationship skills.
- Experience with trial preparation and case management.
- Knowledge of insurance-sector regulatory compliance.
