MAU is hiring a Plant Manager for our client in Portage, WI.As a Plant Manager, you will oversee the safe, ethical, and efficient operation of a chemical manufacturing facility while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, employee engagement, and capital project execution. Shift InformationPortions of the plant operate on a 24/7 scheduleOther areas operate 24 hours per day, 5 days per weekOccasional weekend production required
Required Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering10+ years of experience leading managers and hourly employees in a chemical or similar manufacturing environmentPrevious management experience in a manufacturing environmentProject management experience involving the installation of new equipment, including reactors and systems, within an existing facility using capital expenditure funding
Preferred Education and ExperienceMaster’s degree in Chemical EngineeringExperience working in Process Safety Management (PSM) regulated facilitiesWorking knowledge of ISO Quality and Environmental StandardsSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
General RequirementsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Operational Excellence, safety, and continuous improvement practicesAbility to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, technical procedures, and government regulationsExcellent communication and active listening skillsStrong leadership, strategic planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesDemonstrated ability to evaluate data from multiple sources and make informed decisionsAbility to align teams with strategic goalsFinancial acumen to improve material usage, plant costs, and volume managementExperience in plant leadership within a manufacturing organization, preferably in the chemical industryExperience with process improvement and engineeringExperience managing capital projectsKnowledge of Process Safety ManagementExperience with talent acquisition and employee development
