Postdoctoral Fellow

Job Description
The Computer Vision for Smart Structure Laboratory (CVISS Lab), led by Dr. Chul Min Yeum, and the iNDT Laboratory, led by Dr. Giovanni Cascante, in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo, invite applications for graduate and postdoctoral positions (direct-entry Ph.D., Ph.D., and postdoctoral fellow). Successful candidates will conduct application? research related to state-of-the-art technologies to enhance the safety and resilience of the civil environment. The primary research focus is the condition and safety assessment of infrastructure, including reinforced concrete and steel structures, using non-destructive testing (NDT). Candidates will work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers to develop innovative solutions for advanced infrastructure assessment. Applicants with experience or knowledge in NDT are strongly encouraged to apply.

Start date: Winter or Spring 2027
