Job description
About the role
As a PRN Automation Pharmacy Technician 4 (XR2) (On Call), you’ll support Omnicell’s XR2 system, which enables a more fully automated approach to medication inventory management and helps pharmacy teams focus on patient care.
The role includes equipment management, maintenance and troubleshooting; managing medication inventory levels; reviewing and updating documentation; and communicating with customers to build strong relationships.
Responsibilities
- Operate Omnicell automation at customer sites according to Omnicell standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Perform returns and restocking to optimize customer use of automation.
- Monitor and maintain formulary inventory levels to ensure medications are available for daily dispensing.
- Perform prescribed maintenance and report unresolved issues to the Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
- Clean equipment daily and periodically according to recommended best practices.
- Inspect the robot cell daily for issues, wear and functionality.
- Monitor system trends, report concerns and resolve common system issues.
- Maintain a high level of communication.
