Production Support Analyst – Akamai

About the role

We are looking for a Production Support Analyst – Akamai with strong expertise in Akamai CDN, web application delivery, WAF, Cloudlets, DNS, SSL, NGINX, Apache, and cloud gateway technologies.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience supporting enterprise web platforms, troubleshooting production issues, and managing Akamai delivery and security configurations.

Tasks

• Troubleshoot network, application, and system issues using logs and monitoring tools
• Design and support Akamai cloud-based solutions for web application delivery
• Coordinate with DevOps, CloudOps, developers, and support teams
• Monitor production systems and perform root cause analysis
• Manage domains, DNS, URL redirects, and SSL certificates
• Handle incident, change, and problem management following ITIL processes
• Provide production support, vendor management, and on-call support
• Document technical procedures, user guides, and operational runbooks
• Deliver knowledge sharing and cross-training sessions

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ Years
• Akamai CDN & Akamai NetStorage
• Akamai Property Configuration & Rule Management
• Cloudlets (Edge Redirector, Forward Rewrite, Visitor Prioritization)
• Web Application Firewall (WAF) & Kona Site Defender
• Site Shield, Prolexic, Bot Manager, Security Monitor
• NGINX & Apache Reverse Proxy Administration
• DNS & SSL Certificate Management
• AWS & Azure Gateways
• Jira & Confluence
• REST/Web Delivery Concepts
• Incident Management & Production Support
• Nice to Have: Webmaster experience, Heroku PaaS administration, Media streaming technologies, Mobile application support (iOS, Android), Akamai support experience
